Affording Canterbury

Any family entering any grade level at Canterbury may apply for Tuition Assistance if they are considering affordability. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining the amount of tuition a family may pay, including income, assets, unusual expenses, and the size of the family. Additional available resources (in addition to regular income) must also be considered. Applications are submitted directly to FACTS, a third-party agency, which analyzes a family's estimated contribution towards tuition. This analysis is used by our Tuition Assistance Committee to determine the award amount. 

Canterbury works with the available resources it has to make Tuition Assistance available to as many students and families as possible. The sooner a family enrolls and applies the better the likelihood of consideration.

A wide range of families with a variety of circumstances qualify for the program, from those who are able to pay close to full tuition to those who may pay less. Many unique factors are evaluated, including income, assets, unusual expenses, life events, and the size of the family.

Tuition Assistance applications are made via FACTS, the third-party service we utilize to help us determine the award amount that may be available to your family. You will need to submit your most recent federal income tax return, W-2 forms, and supporting documentation for non-taxable income.

More information will be provided when we open FACTS for the upcoming school year in December.

Our priority deadline is March 1 however, you can still apply after this date. Timing is an essential component of our Tuition Assistance process and more resources are available the earlier you apply. You are welcome to apply after March 1 however, keep in mind that resources may be limited.
