Basketball
Basketball doesn’t build character, it reveals one.
Canterbury Basketball participates in the FHSAA and provides opportunities for middle school, JV, and varsity teams, catering to both boys and girls. The Varsity Boys have a storied legacy of success, stretching back over four decades to the late 1970s, when the team clinched its inaugural district title in 1977. Since then, the Boys team has added seven more district championships to its accolades, 16 total regional tournament appearances and earned a spot in the Regional Championship three times, with its most recent appearance in 2023. Our Girls team has its own decorated past as well. Having been a District finalist on 6 different occasions including winning in 2009. The team has also been to the regional tournament 5 different times since 2000, most recently in 2024.

Canterbury has many Crusaders who have decided to pursue their academic degree while playing in College athletics.

Senior student-athletes become a member of the Varsity Club if they accumulate 100 varsity points throughout their career as a Crusader.
