I have been in the Canterbury community for 30 of my 36 years of life in almost every capacity you can imagine from student to alumni, to employee and parent. This place is quite simply home, but luckily it does not take three decades for that feeling to be accessed here. It simply takes attending Flag, Chapel, special events like first grade space day, or even just recess and snack to feel that magic. Not only do I credit Canterbury for instilling in me the values I hold today, but also the work ethic and belief in myself that I can accomplish anything I set my mind to. Here, I have learned to try and fail and try again with grace and gratitude. I cannot imagine my life without the relationships I have built here (including meeting my husband), the academic education and foundation, the self-confidence and drive, and above all, the ability to connect with people from all walks of life with love, kindness, and respect.
