Q: What are your degrees?
A: University of Notre Dame, B.A. PLS and Spanish
Q: What is special about Canterbury?
A: The community! So much that cannot be put into words, but everyone that I have taught over the years stays connected with their Canterbury friends more than anyone else. If you are a part of this community, you get it.
Q: Look into your crystal ball. How do you see the landscape of education changing?
A: More digital literacy, project-based learning, collaboration, and new platforms and options.
Q: With which historical figure do you most identify?
A: George Washington -- first in war, first in peace, first in the hearts of his countrymen; Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Rest in Power; and John Lewis, Civil Rights activist, and my representative when I lived in Atlanta!
Q: What is your greatest extravagance?
A: My greatest indulgence is a YMCA gym membership and carving out time to work out. No matter how busy the week is, I work out 3-4 days per week minimum!
Q: Which word or phrase do you most overuse?
A: "You know"
Q: What talents do you have?
A: Juggling, ability to speak multiple languages, and the ability to make people laugh.
Q: Who is your hero?
A: My grandmother -- she became a life master at Duplicate Bridge in just 9 years of competitive play, and ahead of her time in so many ways.
Q: What do you most value in your friends?
A: Honesty, compassion, integrity.
