Just in time for the season of gratitude, Fourth-grade teacher Allison Lester worked with her students to practice showing gratitude. Each of her students wrote sweet sentiments to the Hough Campus teachers. Just before the break, Ms. Lester shared their words with the lower school faculty and staff. Needless to say, their unexpected kind words touched the hearts of many. 

This is just one of the many ways our teachers weave character education into the classroom  all year long.

 

 

We Have Gratitude for you Because...

Mrs. Grimaldi, I have gratitude for you because you teach my sister, and I want her to be a good student. -Vihaan

Mrs. Kenning, I have gratitude for you because you help my sister learn everything she knows. -Mia

Ms. Rangel, I have gratitude for you because you were a substitute for Ms. Lester when she was not here. -Caj

Mrs. Herzik, I have gratitude for you because you are a great teacher and have a hard time because you have the little kids. -Gianni

Mrs. Fitzpatrick, I have gratitude for you because you help my sister and Clara. You help them with everything. -Katherine

Mrs. Kokenzie, I have gratitude for you because you gave me great little buddies and you tell me if they’re here or not. -Brady

Ms. Turtle, I have gratitude for you because you help our buddies learn. -Caj

Ms. Eade, I have gratitude for you because you are good at keeping your classroom under control, which must be hard, and I hope you have a great break and Thanksgiving. -Beckett

Mrs. Sweeney, I have gratitude for you because when I was in first grade you were always funny and sweet. You helped me read and write. Thanks to you I love reading now! -Katherine

Mrs. Clarke, I have gratitude for you because you helped me read, and now I LOVE reading, and now I read all the time. -Mia

Mrs. Binkley, I have gratitude for you because you make GOTR (Girls on the Run) super fun with all the activities you have us do. -Caitlin
