The Driver Education Classroom and Behind-the-Wheel Training Course is a blend of classroom theory and practice. Upon course completion students will earn an elective credit of .5 points.
A blend of the AAA curriculum, ADSTEA curriculum, Drive Right Curriculum, and the Florida Driver Manual will be used for classroom instruction.
Requirements to register:
- Students must complete a minimum of 30 classroom hours and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training.
- Students must be eligible for his/her permit by September 15 of the fall semester and February 15 of the spring semester to sign up.
- Students are required to complete 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training; time not completed during school hours must be completed outside of school hours (after school and/or weekends).
After passing Classroom Theory and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training, the students will receive a certificate of completion (often submitted for an insurance discount at the discretion of the insurance company).
Upon completion of the requirements listed above, students may test for their driver license with Ms. Suchanek at her discretion.
